Is your heating on? On 5 May?

After all these years I still can't get my head round the fact DH wants the heating on so much more than me. E.g. Every morning before we get up, even on sunny days in May like today. And he still wants the underfloor heating on in the kitchen. Is this normal? Am I too stingy or warm blooded?

I put ours on about an hour ago, but it hasn't been on for the rest of the day. We're in London.

No, but it's a South facing house and the suns been shining.

However, it's still not as warm as May often is.

Yes! We have the central heating on in the morning because it's horrible getting up when it's very cold, and I've got the wood burner in the front room now. To be honest, I always have the wood burner on and this is extremely hot because it's just really nice to have that sort of heat.

Doesn't matter what the date is, if it's cold it's cold! The good old English weather is sent to try us.

Ours is on for about an hour in the early morning, as poor DH gets up for work at 5.30. And I had it on in one afternoon last week for a couple of hours as it was quite chilly.

mine is on a programmable thermostat, so I let it decide when the house is too cold. It came on for short periods today.

No. Sitting here with windows and patio doors open, listening to the birds. Thermostat is set at 18C all winter so I feel like I am cooking as soon as spring arrives.

I nearly did last night but then I realised I was cold because I was still wearing only my mid afternoon sunny spring weather clothes rather than spring sundown late evening clothes. After layering up I did not need the heating on.

Ours is on a thermostat. We turned off morning heating a month or so ago cos its so expensive (LPg)
In the evenings it kicks in if its below 16 or I light the woodburner.

No, it's been hot and sunny here, I unexpectedly got a bit burnt :( Our house is also colder inside than it is in the garden.
