I would just like to say,
PIGLETJOHN, HOW DO YOU KNOW SO MUCH STUFF?

I am in awe of your amazing general knowledge and would just like to say thank you for all the amazing advice you give on these boards.
I always think, PigletJohn will know the answer to this. And lo and behold, you always do!

This is a bit random but I always picture PigletJohn looking like Chris from Eggheads!

Every once in a while there is an All Hail PigletJohn Thread so I am happy to see another Grin

Always well deserved. I'm more of a lurker than a poster on DIY/Property, but have learned SO much.

I am very easily swayed by PigletJohn's opinions - underfloor heating, cavity wall insulation, hard-wired thermostats.... He could be a 90 year old genteel lady who's never been near a tool box in her life but I'm convinced and store up all the imparted knowledge for when I might need it in the future. He has recently surprised me by branching out into Russia/Ukraine/Crimea. Not just a pretty DIY/Property face ;)

He is infallible on macerator toilets.

Grin I'm always surprised when I see PigletJohn on non-DIY threads too.

So, does anyone know what PigletJohn actually does? I thought he ran several businesses, then today he mentioned his work shirts being super-white. Although, I suppose these things aren't mutually exclusive, hmm.

cows, now you've got me imagining a MasterMind specialist subject of macerate toilets Grin.

"He is infallible on macerator toilets."

Alter the tense and you've got one hell of an epitaph there... Grin

Another thanks from me. He gave me ever so helpful radiator advice, which led me to google some stuff, which led me to find more advice he'd given on an old thread! I was hugely pregnant at the time and was super happy to get my heating on before I popped.

Report
Giraffeski · 29/03/2014 20:33

Can you pop over and sort our heating out though PJ, the wall thermostat is indecipherable and we have lived in our house now for two years without being able to fathom it.
Am on the verge of asking the plumber to rip it out and replace it with one of those clock thingies with bots that you click in and out.

I have lurked him long time!

But I fear I have incurred his wrath as DH has recently had our boiler put in the loft...Wink
