Gtech Airram- any good?

I have a G Tech airram and I love it. Its light. It sucks well. I can manouvre it. It makes quick work because I can just lift it out anytime I need to clear messes on the floor. Only draw back is it does not have tools for cobwebs etc. But it is as good as my old heavy corded vacuum for cleaning the floors. It will do floors and carpets.

The battery lasts around 40 mins which is plenty of time for me to do my whole house twice ( as the advert says).

In fact, I have just got the G Tech Multi to go with it. It arrived yesterday ( 24 hour sevice - ordered Monday) I havent had chance to try that out yet, but again its light and is looking good on the test I did on my stairs.

How good is it at getting into the corners on the stairs? Not having any attachments is a worry for me. My dog loves to lie on the stairs and if I don't hoover daily the carpet looks terrible.

I don't know if this would be able to cope with dog hair as much as I would need it to.

Watching with interest here..I've been considering this too but I have a huge, hairy retriever and four biters and the reviews I've seen aren't conclusive either way on dog hair.

I cannot say about dog hair. I have a furry cat and it deals with his hair.

Its not good at corners but it is no worse that an ordinary upright for corners etc. Thats why I got the multi. It does all other things. I have tried it now. Its light and has all the tools. Its also easy to store. All the toolsare shut away onboard and the machine is incredibly light for reaching up for cobwebs etc.

Do not buy one. It's a motorised carpet sweeper. The machine is supposed to suck up the dust and ram it into small compact dust "blocks". It does not. Mine spewed everything out on the carpet, regularly. The company collected it and gave me my money back. No problem with dealing with them but honestly, get a Miele Cat and Dog. As you would expect, this actually does the job, has useful tools, is light and powerful. The Airtech is an expensive toy in comparison.

I like my Airram, found it to be good with dogs hair. The house gets a vacuum round with the Henry once a week and then the Airram is handy for run round in between. I really like it and fancy buying the handheld to get into all the corners and then I might send Henry into retirement.

I had to replace mine due to gear problems and they would only swap it for a new one rather than a refund- I probably would have swapped it as the gears on the new one sound v noisy sometimes too. And I can't reach the very edge of carpets so wish I had a long nozzle attachment thing. It's great for ease of use though as I whip it out every day instead of weekly as it's so easy and takes so little storage space.
