What's in your lounge right now?

What pieces of furniture and storage etc do you have in yours? Including the little things eg magazine racks and toy boxes? We are decluttering as ours is ridiculous but would be useful to have a benchmark!

The only storage we have is a couple of drawers in the coffee table for things like remotes and magazines.

5 seater corner sofa. Armchair, footstool with built in storage, grown up console wot the boys aren't allowed their toys on, IKEA Levsvik TV cabinet with extra bolts inside, battered old metal computer desk, small set of dark oak nesting tables - also battered but bought very cheaply second hand - quite cute and useful. There's a spare chair comes in and out from the dining area (through lounge!) to be used at the computer table.

Tall narrow wooden drawers containing CDs,
and a small 2 drawer unit that the phone sits on and a couple of magazines etc.
Oh and a log basket!

We had a de clutter when we had wood floor put down. It looks much better without the stuff we had before.

1 large sofa, a chaise, 2 armchairs, baby grand, big old chest of drawers we inherited that I love (that is filled with loads of crap), a console table (that is full of more important crap like school stuff and the dogs' rabies certificates), a tv cabinet that raises the tv up when we want to watch it, a big rug and a coffee table.

Currently we have a large sofa, expedit 4x2 as tv unit, 2 5x1 expedit side by side as book shelf, coffee table, rug, computer hideaway cabinet, small bookshelf, filing cabinet, children's chalkboard, magazine rack, 2x large baskets (1 for toys, smaller one for knitting stuff)

One L shaped couch, a coffee table with no internal storage, matching TV shelf and TV, wine rack (mostly empty ) and a very small collection of toys.

We live in a new house where the kitchen, dining room and lounge are totally open plan so I have as little stuff as possible. The overflowing bookshelf and toys are in the second lounge that is used as a play room and has a door that shuts it all away.

Are you happy in your lounge? Do you have enough breathing space? Are you more or less tidy or able to clear up reasonably quickly. Do your belongings give you pleasure and comfort? A home is about comfort, not meticulous tidiness. I
I like a cheery room,containing things I enjoy ahead of a recipe for placing furniture etc in particular places. Relax and enjoy your home and family.
