Hi, can anyone recommend a way to get rid of the smell of fermenting flowers?

I stupidly left them too long before throwing them out and now my place STINKS and so do my hands! I've obvs thrown them out, cleaned where the water might have dripped and thoroughly cleaned the the vase but since 'disturbing' the water it smells SO bad!

an ironic Thanks in advance.

Burn a nice scented candle and disinfect with zoflora. I always claen my vases with bleach to kill any germs so that next time I use it my new flowers will last

I'm burning a scented candle as we speak! I think it's slowly going or I've just got so used to the smell that I think it's normal
Thanks for the tip about bleaching the vase Cheshire, I'll give that a go!
BrownSauce- I wish they were valentines related, although it would be a bit crap if they were rotting this quickly!

Thanks both

Try with lemon juice (for the vase and for your hands). This will kill the bad smell :)

Another tip to stop the smelly water in the first place is too add some bleach into the bottom of the vase, Yes house hold bleach, It stops the bacteria growing and actually makes the flower's last longer. It doesn't damage the flowers just turns the bottom's of the stalks white.
You wont have that stinky flower water.
