...today. Really. Cannot. Be. Bothered. Have spent a good while already spraying Dettol m and m spray everywhere, discovered last night and am in love with the stuff! However I have a very mouldy house Blush so will tackle the rest tomorrow. Ok, also I have emptied dishwater, washed draw from washing machine and now running on empty boil wash. I have 2 year dts and we all have colds so today my aim is to.

Hoover whole house.

Clean kitchen. Clean bathroom.

Have bath this evening as not even showered today (very unlike me really lacking energy!)

Once I've acheived the above ill be happy so Im going to have a coffee at 9.30, hoover at 10, clean kitchen/bathroom at 12. Maybe shower at 3.30, otherwise bath at 7.

Anyone else lacking motivation? What one things on your to do list will make you feel like you've ticked boxes? ignores clutter, dust and ironing

I think your 'bare minimum' would be a spring clean for me Grin.

I hoover, clean kitchen and bathroom once a week. Grin Obvously I squirt bleach down the toilet and wipe up any obvious spills Wink but most days I just wipe down the kitchen surfaces if I have cooked anything.
Who has the energy or inclination to hoover every day Shock.

Actually your post did remind me to do an empty hot wash so thanks for that. Grin. That's my housework done for the day.

The days I work (3 days a week) I do my bare minimums which is

Make beds open curtains and windows before I leave the house
Put a washing on
Fold the day before dry washing
Do breakfast dishes

Go to work then when I come home I
Quick dust of living room
Wipe down kitchen
Clean bathroom
Hoover then steam mop kitchen and bathroom floors

But if I was ill probably only beds would get made and kitchen and bathroom wiped down and dishes done and I'd try and get a washing done too

Good grief Skivvywoman (appropriate usee name Grin) - if you do that as a 'bare minimum' on the days you are working what do you do on your other days?

Is it really necessary to hoover and steam mops your floors everyday? Shock. Do you have pets?

Bloody hell.

I like a clean and tidy house as much as the next person but I don't Hoover or clean the bathroom and kitchen every day.

No pets but 3 messy kids and a messy DH

With a two week old dd my bare minimum is suddenly much lower. As long as there are some clean plates we're doing well.

Now the nesting phase makes so much sense.

You are all nutters. You clearly don't know what 'bare minimum' actually means.
I weekly Hoover, wipe kitchen and bathroom floors and do a few loads if washing.

I think we need a competition to see who does the least housework Grin.

Having acheived my aim for today plus even a few extras have realised perhaps my standards are too high. So tomorrows bare minimum.

Empty dishwasher.

Maybe do a wash.

Maybe (unlikely) go to chemist to get my script.

That sounds much better :D

My bare minimum is washing up and wiping surfaces down daily, keeping the laundry under control (4-6 loads a week) and emptying bins, cleaning the bathrooms and vaccuming downstairs weekly.
