To remove that burnt on stuff, pop it on the hob with an inch of water and some soda crystals, or washing powder. Bring to the boil and then let it simmer. It should cook the burnt bits off.

we have a combo of stainless steel with glass lids and have just bought some ceramic frying pans, what a revelation this weekend's eggs were!

judge vision, very pleased with them. Try to get brushed stainless, not mirror, as the mirror finish marks easily.

Also have le Creuset that DP pretends she can't lift.

Ikea 365. Not glass lids but good quality, simple design that just works.

ceramic are beyond good, they are lighter than le creuset, but v similar, basically they're non stick but without a lining that goes nasty. also you don't need to use oil with them, I fried an egg the other day just in the pan..... it was amazing! V easy to clean too.

Think aldi have a set of 3 stainless steel pans with glad lids in this week grin

I have Le Creuset pans but more often than not I use judge pans I bought in TK max. I love them
