we hadnt reckoned on this!!
I dont want the old cliched metal suction tray things that always are shit anyway.
anyone got some ace thing to keep a couple of bottles of shampoo in?

OliviaMMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 25-May-13 15:38:58

Is the wet room done already?
Can you tile a niche/hidey hole next to shower?

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 15:40:49

Nope. Too late. H thinks racky thing will be ok. I don't think I like them

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 15:42:49

Plus. I fancy some really bright acid green or yella towels. Can't see any..,

OliviaMMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 25-May-13 16:09:40

Yella towels?
<head tilt>
Are you sure?
<thinks of laundry>

I think you may need to suck up the suction tray
Sorry

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 16:10:00

arf
i SAW WHAT YOU DID THERE

Bowlersarm Sat 25-May-13 16:15:14

I'm hoping someone answers you OP.

we use those suction thingies and I'm not keen. They keep on unsticking themselves and frighten the lives out of us when they crash to the floor.

I would like alternative ideas too.

JaxTellerIsAllMine Sat 25-May-13 16:18:24

You can get metal racks that hook onto your shower holder, keep your toiletries in there, or get a nice waterproof (metal/wood) stacker to sit in a corner.

Cant stand the suction things - they never work.

OliviaMMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 25-May-13 16:28:17

Pinterest is mostly full of niches
Sorry
Can you drill into the tiles and put some glass shelves in?

Greenandcabbagelooking Sat 25-May-13 16:31:00

Keep shower stuff in a bag, then take to bathroom when you need it?

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 17:25:52

niches get mildewy ime

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 17:26:14

i think drilling is in order

there is this thing that hangs around the shower upright i have seen

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 17:26:29

Lol at Green - these are teenage boys...

ItsYonliMe Sat 25-May-13 17:30:26

On the floor - that's what floors are for, isn't it?

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 17:33:49

thats the current deal. I need a shelf. I want one of those ones with no fixings on them, the floating type, yet that draineth

noddyholder Sat 25-May-13 17:36:59

I got some frosted glass bottles for ours if you can be arsed filling them up They do need drilled though

Nehru Sat 25-May-13 17:37:30

arsed filling them up?

noddyholder Sat 25-May-13 17:40:49

There is something called Draad for showers no drilling and strong German stuff

noddyholder Sat 25-May-13 17:44:24

B and Q frosted soap dispensers I have just put 2 in our new shower and they look great but you have to refill them. They are £25 each but buy one get one half price atm.

notso Sat 25-May-13 17:44:43

PIL have a pole with shelves attached, it's fitted with tension so no drilling.

HazeltheMcWitch Sat 25-May-13 17:51:23

Yes, YES!
I am a sucker for an interior magazine, but in 99% of the pretty shower pictures, there is not nearly enough storage space for even a baldy who doesn't ike washing.

I like washing, and I neeeed lots and lots of options for shampoo and conditioner, good bathroom storage is my holy grail.

There's this tension shower caddy - my sis has it, it's ok but massively over-priced IMHO. It might be the one that notso mentions above. There's also an Oxo Good Grips one that's v similar.

noddyholder Sat 25-May-13 17:52:43

this stuff

PigletJohn Sun 26-May-13 20:57:36

why this fear of drilling holes?

Nehru Mon 27-May-13 07:13:32

Thanks all. Yes I'd seen the simple human one. Very expensive.

noddyholder Mon 27-May-13 08:51:30

I have a simple human small one still fell off!
