How do I clean Hama beads off iron?

I don't iron clothes, I do however iron hama beads, badly. My dh needs to iron a shirt for work and it appears I have managed to get hama beads stuck to the bottom of the iron. Hmm He's in there ironing newspaper as I type but felt I should at least try and help. So this is me helping. Any tips please?

If your iron still needs cleaned afterwards, try Faultless Soleplate cleaner (Lakeland, Amazon, eBay etc). It brings it up like new. Gets rid of scorch marks and steps that draggy feeling you get when it's mucky.

Thanks Sleepyfergus, I'll get some in just in case.

LifeofPo, I did use greaseproof paper, think it must have slipped a bit, I didn't realise it had but we couldn't think what else could have got on the iron.
