Bread bins

Are they really old fashioned? I haven't got one & just think it would clear the sides of buns & bread etc.
I'd like it to have a flat top.
I quite like the Novo typhoon breadbin in teal.
Any other recommendations?

Put bread in the fridge, it stays fresh for longer and keeps your tops tidy.
Don't bother buying bread bins, its a waste of good cash.

Gosh I wash just on amazon looking at bread bins! I have no room in the fridge for mine and I wouldn't like them to get fridge 'smells'

OP I quite fancy the joseph joseph one with the chopping board lid!

I have this. It looks good, is well made, and keeps bread fresh. I know it's £££ but my reasoning was that it's indestructible and will therefore last forever so I may as well get a nice one!

I have a nice wooden one with a flat top which means I can have our mug tree and tea tins etc on top of it - bargainous. Think we got it from John Lewis many moons ago (at least 7 years). It's big enough for a big loaf of bread plus rolls / half another loaf etc

I have a Brabantia one as I needed one that was front opening, rather than top opening because it sits inside a wall unit so keeps the bread fresh yet is out of sight.

YY to titan's Wesco Grandy. I have a red one, which a lovely MNer sold me (it was the wrong colour for her new kitchen and she wanted to replace it) and it has indeed cleared the sides of buns and bread and looks gorgeous.
