Advice please! Removing lipstick off a brand new mattress?

DS has just got a new 'big boy's bed' and somehow DD (1) has managed to get hold of a lipstick & decorate his new mattress before a sheet was even put on it!

Any advice please?

Makeup remover? Makeup remover wipes?

dont bother, turn it over and carry on. its going to be covered with a sheet anyway. Its also probably going to get far worse stuff on it as time goes on.

Thanks I'll try make up remover tomorrow, failing that I'll do as hatgirl says.

This doesn't clean your mattress but to save it from further mishaps, get towelling waterproof sheets (John Lewis do them) and use under normal sheet. They are well worth every penny and save incidents such as DS2 waking up saying "mummy it's raining in my bed" - oh the perils of the bottom bunk!
They don't rustle like other waterproof ones do.

just view the lipstick as colourful waterproofing Grin

Thanks, I have actually bought similar waterproof sheets from but just didn't get the chance to put them on before DD got her hands on it.

your ... iPad has mind of it's own!

It's also convinced that you are in-fact batgirl and not hatgirl!

*please excuse typos... Half awake with afore mentioned DD - trying to convince her that now is not a good time to play.
