...it's amazing. I have successfully cleaned:

Carpets
Wooden floor
Parquet floor
Sofas
Highchair
Sinks
Bath
Windows
Mattress
Oven
Wooden chopping board...

Tis bloody great and makes cleaning such FUN!

Anyone else got one?

Esy- I'm thinking I'm glad I don't know what an X5 is now!

I thought it would be about a BMW too... Hmm

Sorry it's a mop, seen on the shopping channel, thought this would be a good place for discussion Hmm

My DH is interested in a steam mop. We bought one years ago and it was useless. How do you use it differently for the different type of surfaces? Does it come with different attachments? And...your chopping board?! Did it make a discernible difference??

I have a steam cleaner. How do you use it on anything other than laminate!

Tips please...

'mmmm

A steam cleaner as a christmas present?

Chanel no. 5 and some earrings here.

Ha. I thought it was the BMW too.

Not sure I'd be happy with a steam cleaner fr Xmas but you sound chuffed with it.

Is there a big difference between types of steam cleaners? I've got one but hardly used it

I also thought it was a BMW :D . Thought "what does a car do in 'housekeeping'". Doh!

I bumped into my dh the day before my b'day in the local shopping centre. He was carrying a food processor. I told him (with a sweet smile) that if he returned it "NOW", I would never mention this. ever. He did return it. ;)

Awesome about your mop! My dh got me a robotic Hoover a few years ago...it's the best thing he ever bought me, and that includes an iPad! Enjoy!

Just to clear up a couple of things...

My MUM bought me the mop, not my DP, got make up, a book and boots off him Grin

Anyway, the mop is fab, didn't do the wooden shopping board to look better, I just thought it was prob a bit of a breeding ground and the mop sanitizes. Yes it comes with different attachments, you can do anything really. What I love is that it makes cleaning really fun! And I HATE cleaning...

My mum. I asked for it. It's expensive, I couldn't justify it for myself.

I BLASTED a thick layer of lime scale off my taps using the wire brush attachment. I love it, I have an X5 mop too.

And I'm a reet slattern.

Report
PigletJohn · 09/01/2013 14:26

Shock wire brush on brass will tear the lacquer off and scratch the brass. hrome is much more hard wearing but I still wouldn't use wire brush.

Report
BettyBum · 09/01/2013 17:21

Thanks! I just used the steam blast on its own with no wire attachment for the limescale and it worked well.

Keep looking round for things to steam Grin

Worked brilliantly on highchair
