I have found the holy grail of cleaning granite

After getting granite worktops in April, and struggling to keep them looking good, I simply HAD to share this.

My friend recommended this to me, and after reading the amazing reviews I took the plunge and ordered one.

Oh. My. God. It is fantastic! Fabulous for cleaning granite worktops, windows, mirrors, shower screen, kitchen doors, outside of fridge... did I mention the GRANITE?

It's changed my life! No more buffing with a tea towel for hours. Just wipe down with soapy wet cloth, then glide the Karcher over it, it hoovers up the water and leaves the surface completely clean, dry shiny and free of smears!

No, I don't work for Karcher. Grin But honestly, read the reviews on Amazon, believe them, and buy one.

Ooh I don't know about texture granite, sorry! Mine's smooth.

And I know it's a bit of an investment, but you will save in terms of Windowlene.

You only need soapy water (washing up liquid).

agedknees - it is isn't it?

I don't know why, but I feel a moral obligation to spread the word Grin

I'm just so glad I bought it!

Actually, I do have a steamer, just don't use it very often. I think it even has a window attachment too. (Which shows how long ago it was when I last used it, obviously I get by alright with a sponge and microfibre cloth.) Must have another go with that some time soon!

This isn't a steamer though. It's a hoover with a rubber window blade attached. It glides over the soapy water on the surface, hoovering it up, leaving completely dry, shiny and smear-free glass/ granite.

I've always just wiped over with water then dried with a E cloth for a great shine but this sounds good.

My kitchen tap leaks a bit and leaves water stains/limescale on the surface of the black granite. I've discovered that after removing it (lemon juice is good) to get a more lasting effect, wiping the area with a little oil works wonders. That is my top tip for granite counters.

I have very shiny wardrobes which streak no matter how you clean them.

Not any more.

I think I have a new best friend. (Can you tell I have a weeks annual leave).
