Homemade Christmas stockings

I have a new baby, and would like to make a stocking for her first Christmas. Ideally it would be something she would have until she grows up. Any ideas for patterns? I am not naturally gifted, so it would have to be something very simple, maybe even made with Wonder Webb!

Go to :
www.activityvillage.co.uk/christmas_stocking_template
and print off said template.
You can buy felt from places like Hobbycraft or a local market stall (likely to be cheaper).
Make up basic stocking using template (if you wonder web it you'll struggle to get anything in it!) and embelish it letting your creative juices flow.
If you put up a Christmas tree, you can make little ones, embelish them with beads and sequins, make a small loop with ribbon and then wonderweb a plain back and hang on your tree.
Future family heirloom! - and will bring back happy memories for your daughter.

I made simple draw string bags (like shoebags in days of yore) out of Christmassy fabric. Cut letters out of felt and glued them on.
