New fridge-freezer - what do I need? Which brand? Where to buy? Dull, I know...

I'm not well and can't think but I need a new fridge-freezer fairly urgently. My current Beko one sounds like it is going to take off. All I know is I want a bottle rack & a big freezer.

Do I want a water filter thingy in the door?

Please help!

if a typical FF is about £450, do you want a cheaper or a more expensive one?

Do you want one 600mm wide x 600mm deep (most common?) or some other size?

How tall do you want it?

I'm trying to decide the same, have my eye on an American style one that comes with or without the water dispenser in the door. I'd heard the dispensers are prone to knackering. Ooh decisions decisions :)

we just got a new one, an LG. verrrrry expensive, but, this is the first one we've been out and chosen ourselves, all our others have been hand-me-downs. it is lush, love the freezer drawers.

Height doesn't matter, width up to 650mm. Don't want to spend a huge amount but am willing to pay for a better one rather than picking the cheapest.

I had a quick look at the Which? reports but my brain might explode.

That's an interesting one, nipersvest. I've not seen any like that.

Also - what colour? Is white ok these days or not?

we saw the hotpoint quadrio ages ago, and dh in particular liked the look of it, but it got such mixed reviews and then was on watchdog about a fault with the doors. we can't fit in a full on american style one, as they're 90cm, this one is 70cm wide. i saw it online, and sent the link to dh thinking he'd say it was way too expensive, but instead, he wanted to see it in the flesh. when we found one in a shop, thing was, none of the other cheaper ones appealed after that, they just looked boring in comparison!

before i spotted the LG one, i did have this one in mind as i liked the slots in the freezer door.

I'd like lots of drawers/ shelves in the freezer. Some are really tiny. I wish I had space for a huge fridge. I'm procrastinating and need to make a decision so I can get it ordered asap.
