I would love to have a kitchen where the sides didn't always have washing up on them.
The rest of the house isn't too bad although I have:

  1. loads of washing to catch up on. (the rainy weather seems to put me off doing this)
  2. Drawers full of paperwork to sort out (I find paperwork boring)

One of my problems is I have anaemia (am on iron tablets) So I don't know if this is one of the reasons why I feel so unmotivated. I have two dc one is at school the other is a toddler.
Also the weather looks so grey and miserable here today I'm sure that doesn't help!Sad
That's it really so can anyone come up with Ideas or encouragement.

Two things I always find help me:

Wait til you have had a good night's sleep - I find I actually can't help rushing about spring cleaning if I have recharged my batteries overnight

Go to friends' houses. Either their houses will be worse than yours and you will decide you don't need to worry, or you will inspired by some system or way of doing things they have which you can adopt at home.

I get motivated when I have visitors coming over.

Sadly, I am then so busy basking in the glory of my efforts that I forget that I need to stick at it and before I know it things have slipped agsin......

I break everything into very small chunks with a reward at the end - a bit like bribing a child Grin. Ie: hoover two rooms = a coffee; sort paperwork (but sub divide into bills/school stuff/banking etc) = half an hour on mumsnet ........... I don't get that much done but don't feel overwhelmed !

Also find your 'best time of the day' - for me it is first thing in the morning, everything goes downhill after lunch .............. !!

Yes, I think I find it hard to get going after lunchtime too.
