oh I looked for this earlier and didnt see it

done today:

Cleared breakfast mayhem,
DW stacked and running
Sink shiny
floor swept & mopped
1/2 cupboard fronts cleaned!

My kitchen looks lovely for a change.

Tea break and then cracking on with the living room in advance of MILs visit.

Wolfcub Fri 09-Sep-11 11:09:20

morning Hatti

decluttered pyjama drawer, underwear drawer and wardrobe. threw two full black bags away and have two in the car for Oxfam. Sadly had to part with a velvet patchwork jacket that my dad bought me when I was 14 as it had grown it's own fur coat and is clearly the source of the despicable smell in my wardrobe (which is why all my clothes never get put away blush

lunch in the oven for DS and me. Just having a little rest now. Only 45 minutes until my peace is shattered for the rest of the day.

potty emptied and cleaned out, have reminded myself why I don't do this job usually, shakey hands resulted in wee covered arm, steps and handbag. Shall continue to leave to DH in future!
Set out clothes for DS for when he comes home from school.

swanriver Fri 09-Sep-11 14:07:39

hope school is going well. Not primary already???
Was that biscuits with gps or just not a good exp?

Wolfcub Fri 09-Sep-11 15:37:58

swan yes, primary, he started in reception on Tuesday. The biscuits was a not good expression, my dad has been a bit of a nightmare since last christmas so spending time with him can be trying.

How's ds's arm now?

Wolfcub Fri 09-Sep-11 16:47:16

wm unloaded, reloaded and on
dw unloaded and reloaded
mats, table and kitchen surfaces wiped

swanriver Fri 09-Sep-11 17:13:38

I'm sorry about biscuit Dad.
3 months before Ds1 can play Rugby! (not that I mind that much - but bit sad he can't play sport at his new school for time being)
anyway cast is off now, so at least he can swim again, and be shoved into the shower grin

Reception can be trying time, take things easy. Much harder work than being at Nursery despite time being shorter, due to much less one to one and greater expectations of behaviour. So they get a bit wound up. Still, good fun for them I think.

swanriver Fri 09-Sep-11 17:14:24

I've made some date scones to celebrate thgif feeling!

TheMadHouse Fri 09-Sep-11 17:35:16

swan send some scones my way, I love dates.
Evening mad and PMcP.

We have used the Cozi Calendar today to start DS's christmas list for Santa so that we don't forget what he's asked for when we write our Santa letter. The first thing on his list is "lots and lots of snow"

Wolfcub Fri 09-Sep-11 19:17:47

swanriver Fri 09-Sep-11 22:55:11

hello TM I always read your blog
feelng v. nostalgic for old thread now [tears in eyes] the immediacy of it really

we've all changed such a lot since those days, children so much older etc...

however, it must be said there were BAD days on the old thread too.

anyway thehouse is such a tip atm I shouldn't really be lurkign here.

going to bed now.

swanriver Fri 09-Sep-11 22:59:02

Wolfcub when ds1 was about 2 and half, we were in Ireland for Christmas, and there was an unexpected (in Ireland it usually doesn't snow till late Jan if it's going to snow at all) fall of snow on Christmas Eve.
Ds woke up, looked out of the window, and wasn't even interested in what Santa had brought, he just wanted to go out and see the glorious white stuff. Dh and I thought it was so sweet, so innocent and unacquisitive (there's another word but I can't remember it)
