Until I can save up some money to get an all singing all dancing steam iron I need to look after this one because it's already wrecking my clothesAfter burning a pair of trousers, the dried on burnt mark is still on the iron - how can I get rid of this?Does anyone have any home remedies? Or should I just buy some cleaner from the supermarket? Thanks in advance.FWIW the temperature gauge thingy on the iron seems to be totally off, that's why I'm unable to control the temperature.
If the temperature gauge is off, and it's wrecking your clothes, I'd be inclined to ditch it and buy a new one, even if it's a cheapo to tide you over 'til you get your posh steam one.I've been through loads of irons and they never come properly clean for me I'd be interested if anyone has any brilliant methods though.
