i do not wash them after every time anyone has a shower etc. (if that makes me gross please don't judge)

where do you leave them after you've showered?
radiator?
hook?
towel rail?

i used to do radiators but then the room get a bit of condensation.
the towel rail is too small for more than 1.

I wash probably after every other use and just hang them on a hook on the bathroom door.
I used to hang them over banister, but don't have stairs anymore!

have a multi armed towel rail from Ikea in the bathroom - each person has an arm for their towel plus one for guest hand towel. I wash towels 2/3 times a week usually.

there are 6 of us....banisters are great plus a moveable floor-standing or hook over radiator towel rail...i don't find that towels dry on hooks....but that might be because our house is not that warm! I tend not to hang on radiators because we need the heat to circulate...see lack of warmth above!!

why would you wash towels after every use????You have just washed yourselves, the towels are only wet, surely...I Wash the hand towels from the loos daily, but that's because there are 6 residents plus numerous friends....and I don't completely trust everyone's post loo handwashing......Like the idea of the multi-armed towel rail thingy that PandaG has.

I wash after every use. Partly because there was no where to get them dry, at least a wash and a tumble dry got them out of the way and back in the airing cupboard. That's my logic working there Grin.

I wash mine twice a week, and lay them over the towel rail between times. DH lays it over the bath, and drives me potty!

towel rail is like this but has 6 arms not 4. Can't see 6 armed one online.

I wash after 2-3 uses, in between mine go on heated towel rail, DS's on radiator, DH's over the stairs (drives me mad but it's better than the floor).

Heated towel rail 6ft high just for this purpose. No radiator in the bathroom, towel rail is joined to the heating system so automatically warm in winter. Electric switch also for when you want dry warm towels but the heating's off.

I leave mine on the bed during the day [slattern emoticon] then hang them on the towel rail in the evening to dry properly ready for the next morning.

Towel rail is heated when the heating's on but not otherwise. The towels seem to dry ok anyway.

DH hangs his up on our towel rail after use. He is much more domesticated than me.

DP and I put ours on the heated towel rail in the bathroom.

The childrens ones go on airers that hangs off their bedroom radiators.

Teenage sons are supposed to hang theirs in thier room but it doesn't always happen and they tend to get a new one from the airing cupboard. I found 8 in DS5's room today. Dh and me hang ours in the bathroom. I wash bath towels 2/3 time a week
and hand towels, bath mats and tea towels most days.

We have a large towel rail radiator type thing on our ensuite for our towels (which get neatly folded and hung on there)

The radiator in the family bathroom is nice and long so space for 2 -3 bath towels to rest there too Smile

Those who wash towels after every use - how on earth do you keep on top of your washing? Does everyone have their own towel and bath every day?
I just hang up over towel rail over radiator and hang on hooks on door and wash every few uses /when there"s room in a washload. Don"t think they need it more than that!

Bloody hell, I only wash bath towels once a week, I've got enough laundry to do!

They go on the towel rail.

Banister for ours :)

It's supposed to be the over-door towel rail, but in reality it's over the banister/foot board of bed/floor.

I wash them maybe once a week, maybe more.

Heated towel rail in the bathroom for the communal hand towel.

Our bath towels go on over the radiator towel rails in our respective bedrooms. Or slung over an open door.

Couldn't live with myself if I washed and tumble dried all our towels after every use because that would be a shameful waste of the world's resources.

Towel rail in bathroom for hand towels, ds, guests. Hooks on doors for me and MrNC, though in winter when the heated towel rail is on, then sometimes add ours.

Wash once a week or so - I use my bath towels to go swimming and then wash after. And never tumble-dry them - maybe once a year if we've had so many guests we've run out of dry towels!

On the tank in the airing cupboard, they always dry best.

I tend to throw my towel over the top of the shower box in our en-suite. DH usually folds his wet towel then hangs it on the rail - so I move it to our top bannister so that it dries!

DD's goes over the heated rail in the main bathroom.

I tend to wash them all weekly - though hand towels get changed in the week.

Radiator in bathroom comes on even in Summer. Complicated oil fired Rayburn system that needs one unthermostated radiator to keep it happy.

So wet towels go over that first, then on the towel rail above, then over the bath.
In theory if there are more than three wet towels the dirtiest goes to the wash.
Even my scruffy DH gets putting towels to dry, but the DDs don't!
"Please don't leave wet towels in heaps on your floor, bed or chair" is unfortunately on the same list as "Don't moan x isn't clean if you didn't put it to wash" and the one that drives me insane, "Shut the door to the hall!"
The hall isn't heated, the front door is old and doesn't fit that well and faces due north, the lounge has a big radiator and a large south facing window. Clearly the one that is freezing does not need need to share it's attic draft with the other Angry
