Best bath mats?

Apologies for how dull this is, but I need advice on DH and his showering detritus. The bathroom floor is always awash and he likes to air-dry, so stands in a pool of water/soggy towel as he shaves. Bath mats don't seem to have enough capacity somehow and unless I'm v careful he leaves them to go smelly. (We have separate bathrooms so I only notice when doing a once over before the cleaners arrive.)
What's the best thing for soppy husbands on tiled floors? Or do I just need to do bathroom patrol more often?

I have three bathmats (just fairly cheap cream ones) and change them regularly.

plain thick towelling ones, changed and washed as often as you'd do towels.

Can't he just stand on his towel, then hang t up?

I've got double sided bathmats which are about an inch thick and soak everything up. Also have a DH who will pick them up and hang them on the towel rail after use. You need to think about getting one or both of these Wink.

Thanks ladies. He's unlikely to pick up towels in the lifetime and in fact when I met him, only had one towel, which you wouldn't have rubbed a dog with. He's increased functionality since then but we're at capacity I think. I'd rather not get an upgrade quite yet.

Ha - see your problem then! Dh thought washing a towel about once a month was good going when we got married. He gets no say any laundry decisions any more...
