Cleaning UPVC porch?

clemetteattlee · 12/07/2011 22:00

We have just had out front conifers taken out and now the full horror of the front of our house is on show. We have had all the wood repainted but our porch is UPVC double glazing and Coverdale in black scuffs. I have tried scrubbing, even tried neat bleach, but they aren't shifting. Does anyone know of any product that will work?

You can get specialist UPVC cleaner from most DIY places. When we had a conservatory the company fitting it gave us a bottle of cleaner but told us to use Magic Erasers for difficult marks. They are fab and remove marks with very little effort - I understand they are toxic so I keep them away from dc and pets. Poundshops etc now all do their own version of the Eraser.

Astonish paste- Lakeland limited do it. So do The Range and alot of the poundshops.
Use a damp cloth, it really works on UPVC.
I use it on the front door for scuff marks when DS scrapes his shoes off.
And the inner porch door is over 20 years old.

Thank you for your replies. Tibni, do you mean the erasers that erase ink pen?

I've just moved and the uvpc windows are in a dreadful state. I attacked them with good old fashioned Vim on a damp scrubber and microfibre cloth and it worked brilliantly & cheap too.
