(Background) we have an extension kitchen/dining room with fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, kettle.Seperate fusebox to the rest of the house(the original part)
A couple of weeks ago after a thunderstorm the fuse tripped.Lights still okay and cooker as on seperate system.
Did this a few times, we re-set it.
The kettle which is about 5 yo threw a wobbly, not switching itself off, filling the kettle with steam. And then it switched itself on .That freaked me out, thought we were having a 'Most Haunted moment!'
I know kettles use alot of elctricity but would this be enough to cause the fuse to trip out??
