June know it's the fledgling flyers?

A warm welcome to the June Fledgling Flyers' thread.

If the state of your house is getting you down, this is the thread where we follow the step-by-step Flylady housekeeping system (in our own, unique, relaxed style Wink) with lots of chat and support along the way and where lace-up shoes are definitely optional.

A huge thank you to Linzer for keeping us all on track so splendidly during May and thank you to DroitwichMummy for the thread title.

As usual, we will be following the Flylady three-pronged approach:

  1. Baby-steps (a daily step to establish routines)
  2. Then baby-steps + 15 mins daily decluttering
  3. (And once decluttered) babysteps + daily missions

If you are feeling overwhelmed by clutter and mess, you can make a difference, one step at a time.

For more information, have a look here. You don't need to sign up to Flylady e-mails (we advise you not to do so in fact - you will be overwhelmed - all the information you need can be gleaned from this thread).

All long-standing members, intermittent returnees, lurkers and newcomers welcome!!

Me first, me first!

Thanks for the new thread, SC - I'm looking forward to getting back on track in June, when hopefully work will have returned to a more manageable amount!

Hello Mrs SC , and everyone else. Wink Fallen off the wagon slightly as RL has been a little intrusive of my MN-ing! Hmm

Just marking my spot for now. I will return and try to get back on track.

done some ironing!

It is a beautiful day, I really must try and enjoy it - why do my husband and children give me such a headache? Blush Hides herself in the broomcupboard for some peace and quiet..oh dear no room in there, too full of flotsam Sad

Locks doors, gulps down tea, finds sandals shoes, and reluctantly heads to park to find family.

I was just wondering what kind of cleaning shoe laces could be used for (a kind of extreme FLYing, maybe) until it dawned on me why we might need them. Blush Is it a sign of madness that I first thought of eyebrow threading. (I think it must be a combination of last week's pamper mission and just having read the eyebrow threading thread.)

This lack of sleep is playing havoc with my sanity.

Has everyone defected to this thread now? It will be a very short round-up for me tonight if so. Grin

Too much champagne yesterday? Wink

I'm certainly not complaining if everyone defects. Grin I shall probably be talking to myself tomorrow.

I think I have scared everyone off with my talk of using shoelaces for eyebrow threading (even if it was on this thread.)

Sorry Linzer - didn't mean for everyone to defect to this thread! Just (rather selfishly) keen to start it in order that my posts are easily spottable in green. The scrolling is much easier that way!!

Now back to the May thread everyone, there's still two days to go ...

I'm at the swimming pool. Not swimming as you can see Wink (although I'm sure they will invent an i-phone for swimmers soon Smile
The children were so awful I had to take them to the tip, and the pool (well I pretended we were going swimming, and dropped some things off on the way - rusty bikes aha!) Ds1 just cannot play with his siblings for a second without insulting them - however I understand he just wants to be OUT - he is like a caged bear really in the house.

DH is now in a very bad mood, as he realises the children cannot entertain themselves for a moment. However, as he's back to work tomorrow, I could have told him that myself. Still he has done sterling work, and I have managed to get things a bit more organised for the week ahead.

Evening all, just sticking my mop in nice and early! Like to think of myself as a regular but fear I may have slipped to intermittent returnee status over the last few months!

Hooray! I am ridiculously pleased by that! I may even offer myself up as leader again in a month or so to help me get back in to it!

Have just got home from a weekend away in Cheltenham awaiting DH and DD who are in the other car. The house is gloriously tidy, at least most of it is and I am sitting in the living room with a sleeping baby and a glass of wine feeling very happy.

Marking my spot on the sparkling new thread! Linzer - thank you for all your hard work keeping us on track last month. Still -thank you for offering to lead us to giddy new Flylady heights of achievement in June.

Too sleepy to write much more. Mum is here and I can hear her tidying up in the kitchen downstairs right now Smile. I have had to come to bed. Pushme - that's a lovely image I now have of you sitting in your living room, cuddling your sleeping baby plus a glass of wine Smile.

Goodnight all.

Hello lovely flyers! Marking my spot! I too have been awol, a lot, but, impending house move has taken over! Get house keys tomorrow! House is like a bomb has gone off (understandably), and i am getting twitchy with it now! Is far less stressful when the house is clean and tidy!
Hope to get back on track in a few weeks, after move etc. But wanted to say hello
