What is your tumble drier make?

DH planning to get me a Zanussi ZDE100W vented tumble drier. Any good?

Other suggestion appreciated , budget between £200 and £225.

I just don*t buy clothes that need to be ironed. and dh does his own shirts. might have to rethink when ds starts school...

i don't iron anything and dont have a tumble drier.

give everything a damn good shake before it goes on the rack and then fold neatly.

i gave up caring about creases once ds arrived and even dh's work shirts look same as if they'd been ironed after he's walked to work.

Another non-ironer here without a dryer - I don't overload the washer, as that makes them creased, and i dry on a rack. Clothes lovely and crease free.

Where do you dry your things in the winter? up to now I used the radiators in the winter but my the landlord's wallpaper is starting to suffer. I have tried hanging my washing in the conservtory but after a week some items are still not dry and they do not smell nice hence the tumble dryer idea. If there's a secret cheaper way I am all ears

I hang everything possible on (plastic) hangers on the shower rail. As long as there's space between them, our stuff dries within a day.
It's always a balancing act between fast spin = faster drying and slow spin = looks better and doesn't need ironing.
Only dh's work shirts get ironed here.

I use drying racks all year round.
a clothes horse lives on top of the bathtub which is great for drying small things and I have this I make sure I air the flat mornings and evenings and use an extra spin cycle to make the clothes as dry as possible. the shake and hang as flat as possible.

I have 2 clothes airers similar to this and hang everything up to dry on them. Shirts are hung on hangers and then hung from the airer. I rarely tumble and only iron shirts and dd's pleated skirts.

I used to have a similar clothes airer as the one you linked mousymouse. I now do not have any space anywhere for 1. It was great though.

if you're short on space, could you get a clothes maid that comes down from the ceiling?

i'm another non-ironer and only tumble things like sheets and we never look too scruffy i think!

If it is something that needs to be Hooked on ceilling (holes) I cannot as we are renting and are not allowed to even hang pictures (exept where there were hookes originally).

yes it does have to be screwed in, that's annoying, would your landlord not give you special permission if it would save the wallpaper?

oh and our dryer is a zanussi condenser dryer if you are still interested, but the things that come out of that are usually more crumpled than the line dried bits.

Oh are they? [desapointed emoticon} I keep on reading threads with people saying they just fold things after tumble drying them and found the idea very promissing. Well I suppose I will carry one waiting days on end for my clothes to dry or... possibly buy a tumble dryer and carry on irining!

no no no, you must liberate yourself from the iron...creases in most things fall out quick enough when you wear them, irons are evil!

i think the key is a good washing machine. one that is big and spins well. take everything out as soon as possible and hang on coathaners ext somewhere warm but with air movement.

I don't buy clothes that need ironing.

I put clothes on the washing line all year round, even in the winter and the rain. The breeze gets rid of most the creases then I dry them inside on the airer.

I have that Zannusi dryer, it's fine.

Always go for Zannusi now, it's predecesor lasted 7yrs which is good going these days.
