Kitchen Bin...anybody got a solution?

Just that really, I am sick of having bin bags on floor for recycling and normal rubbish, but don't really have anywhere to put a big bin.

Has anyone got any ideas what I can do? Can't have a bin inside cupboard as have limited cupboard space anyway. I do have a shelf thing about the depth of a cupboard on the end of breakfast bar which is a full sized cupboard shelf just with corners cut off IYKWIM, is there anything on market I could have on there?

I have googled but can't seem to find anything suitable.Any ideas would be appreciated.

TIA

If you have space for a rubbish bag on the floor then you have space for a small pedal bin don't you? You could keep a carrier bag inside it for recycling.

I really hate bins in cupboards though, so am a mite prejudiced.

I hate them too, seems very unhygenic to me.
The rubbish bag isn't there all the time just when preparing tea etc then goes in wheelie bin, nowhere to have a bin as it would be there all the time.

Hall is next to kitchen in this house so I hide all recycling stuff in furniture. It is cooler than kitchen too.

I have two large plastic bins with lid. one with a white liner for the recycling and one with a black liner for waste.
they are square and fit neatly in the corner, def take less room than one bag on the floor.

Thanks everyone, Canyou, I think you might have solved problem, as I think that with a bit of alteration that may fit on the shelf thingy! I have also seen a couple of ideas on lakelands website

this double decker and this wall fixed one

The wall fixed one is a bit ugly but could go in utility (well thats what we call it but its actually just the lobby to the downstairs loo so again has no floor space!
