Wendy Just do some wiggling and I'm sure it will pop out.
Good luck to those who still have snow OFM MC and others. yse, snow okay for 2 days then it stops being funny.
DS had a fab day going from house to house. I wasn't so productive. But had a nice cuppa at the last house and a chat.
so I did manage
Make beds done
clean bathroom done
hoover upstairs done
Small Food Shop done
W/M and dryer on and off all day!
folded clothes.
Washed summer kings size quilt in my W/M I knew I should have taken it to the laundrette but kept putting it off! Going to finish drying it there!
Now off to watch Madmen before I read swan's thread Bear

OFM I just read a bit of last Saturday thread you and Funtime where loving the snow hey!
Just had a panic attack as I thought the boiler had broken down. I keep putting the themometer up and down all day and I thought I bust it. Sat in the cold with a hot water bottle watching Madmen then came upstairs and pressed a few buttons and it seems okay now. Famous last wordsXmas Hmm I now really really feel for people with no heating at this time of year. Horrible nightmare. Swan Glad your gas leak has been fixed and your in a nice warm house.

wrapped several more presents for PTA in cellophane
piano lesson [crash course in Enigma Variations Shock
trudged on slippery slidey pavements backwards and forwards several times between school/shops/home
went to ds1 carol concert for Borough Schools with dd, and ds's godmother. Another icy trek. His choir did a Beatles song with religious theme (can you guess which one? has a Mary in it Xmas Grin. Fab church, fab choirs (we were the best!), and lovely singing from the audience too! I was v. impressed by his music teacher and how she pulled the choir together tbh - when you see the choirs you begin to realise what an influence the "conductor" has...

dh in moderately calm mood after nice eve babysitting just one child Hmm and even ate the pasta bake Shock {although he mentioned in passing he'd had to add a lot to it to make it edible...]

Scatty you are being heroic, I'm sure a lot of people are very grateful for you being there despite the difficulty getting in.

OFM next year presumably the Nanny will work out cheaper than this, so it could be an investment to pay more now. And in two years you wouldn't have anything like the existing costs and could revert back to the school hours set up. I think afterschool club might be very tiring three days a week - I know lots of people who use it but they all limit it, and it might be v. tiring when ds2 first goes to school too so it might not be a longterm solution when he's four/five either. Anyway - just trying to imagine myself in your shoes, but I suppose I'm not being very successful because you are obviously Superwoman to have managed to get six children out of house every morning and get to work at all!

must go to bed before I start thinking of essential chores...Blush

Morning all
The house is a tip and I really must go to the laundrette to dry quilt.
Friend over from Canada pop-in for a fish & chip supper. I prefer for it to be just us 3 on a Friday but she's only here for 1 week seeing her parents.
So...
Make beds
Make shepherd's pie for Saturday (I'm out with the girls)
Wash kitchen floor
Walk to laundrette dry quilt
Home and out to ASDA as it the closest supermarket to us (I normally shop at Sainsbury's! which is on the other side of town!
Dry clothes
Put the W/M on as usual.
Sew the last 2 Beaver badges & more tags on clothes

morning all

wendy how you doing??

nutty yes I always love the snow - for the first day or two LOL

swan yes, childcare needs will change a lot over next 2 years. The solution now of a nanny, and be doing 3 full days would be the most expensive, and will then decrease as DS2 gets older. Would ideally eventually like to end up with an after school nanny 3 days a week that could collect the dc from school (2 will by then be at secondary and making own way home)which would obviously be much cheaper than what we currently pay, or as you say I could then go back to hours to fit with school pick up...either way childcrae costs will go down over next 2 years, so need to see this as a long term investment I think to help mitigate the stress of returning to work when DS2 still V little, and with 6 of them!
and yay for DH eating pasta bake LOL

Well, snow still here, but no more and roads seem passable
DS1 school closed though still, as is DH school, and girls have an inset day anyway...

I have woken up with very poorly feeling stomache, and a bit shakey and unwell...Xmas Hmm
DH is going to take them to the park to brak the monotony of it all...
I may try and do some blitzing...maybe...

Sadly the concert dd's were meant to be in tonight has been cancelled - they are still sad about that, but hopefully it will be re-arranged...

right, off for a cuppa I think...

its rained in the night so approximately half the snow from around the car has gone. Still a lot of ice on the road. I may be brave and try and get the car out later on today, assuming it will start after not being used for almost a week and being buried under so much snow Hmm

I made a bag last night to store my sewing projects in. Am really pleased with how it turned out.

today i need to;
try and move car
take ds to his dads
christmas shop
reserve things in argos
lesson plan for next week
review learning from last week (only mon to do as wasnt in after that)
see if still able to go for meal and catch up with friend.

Morning all

Doing ok here, trying to enjoy snuggling but it is hard with other children isn't it. DS threw up last night and dd has another bad cough!

DH taken dd to dance.

Already fed up of the continual breast feeding! lol. Got to go back to hosp for anti d injection this morning. sending dc to my mum's hopefully later to stay overnight - they want to go but feel like I'm getting rid!

Otherwise my nice tidy house is a tip! LOL
