new dining table

i really need a new dining table and chairs, as our old one was bought as a 'cheapie for now' set, which unfortunatly has now seen better days.

Trouble is, i dont have a dining room and only a small kitchen. So, do i try and squeeze one into the kitchen (think it would mean removing a worktop or something) or do i just stick one in the sitting room?

Sitting room isnt huge, but i think it is big enough for a table - but i just wanted it to look like a sitting room IYSWIM.

Any ideas on where to set it up, and ideas for nice reasonably priced dining sets?

What's you rbudget? LAura Ashley have sale on atm. Refectory table is a good deal but is BIG. But noticed they do a round one which may work better in a smaller space?

budget - errm, probably no more than £300 to be honest, and if it were that much, it would have to be something that will still be there next month to give me time to save up.

Am also not against ebay - once i know what room it is going in, and therefore what size/shape to get!

There are only 3 of us at the moment - me and 2 DDs, so it doesnt need to be huge

ooh, i do like that Laura Ashley one, but think it will be too big

But, something like that, would it look ok in a sitting room, along a back wall?
