Creative mums help!!!

Just after some advice from creative mums! My 8 yo DS has been set the challenge of making the human digestive system as a model. Trying to earn mega mum points I told him we could make it out of salt dough bake so it hardens and then paint. Do anyone have a recipe tried and tested for salt dough models?!? Any help would be greatly received!!! Thanking you
