I know families with that sort of configuration. Looks like exceptionally hard work to me, but I'm not convinced that home ed makes it any more chaotic, challenging and tantrum laden than it was going to be anyway...

I've had 7,5,2 and newborn. Easier to HE than have to live life around school in my opinion. No having to be somewhere at a particular time and loads of learning opportunities with a baby.

I home-ed my 8 and 6 year olds, and will have a newborn in a few weeks. We'll be keeping it very basic for a few months.

At 5, 3 and 2, I can't imagine home-edding makes much difference except for having the eldest at home instead of at school. A lot of home educators wouldn't do any structured work with a 5 year old anyway.

What kind of things do you do in an average day for each age?

Mine will be nearly 6, nearly 4 and just gone 2 when my newborn arrives and I have no idea what it will be like!

Right now pregnancy exhaustion means some days we do nothing formal and if my eldest does some educational games on the iPad I count that as having done something. Other days are pretty good and we get some project stuff done and some Maths and English. I know i'm pretty formal compared to a lot of others but it suits us. I'm worried about the 3yr old at the mo because she's very bright and wants to join in with everything and I'd like to harness that while she's happy to but I'm worried about the 5yr old not getting what she wants!

I have had 6,3,2 and newborn while home schooling, sister in law has had 7,5 3,2 and newborn while home schooling, definitely possible. I think since I had csection that school run would have been harder. Reading eggs and mathaletics were great as was leap pad. Lots of reading books drawing etc while I fed baby, but we didn't do lot of structured stuff then. Had to have a sort of routeen though all be it more laid back. It was lovely my then year old being able to spend more time with baby and toddler when they were little, they are so close now.
