Are massive rugs called something else?

I'm trying to find a rug that marks out the whole lounge area in an open plan space like this picture.

All my googling comes back with is just a large rug of say 2x1m, maybe 3x2m max. (I need something more like 4x4m)

Does anyone know
A) if I'm searching for the wrong thing with 'rug' ?
B) any recommendations of places I could look.

Wall to wall rugs?

They do. I Have used them for a few rugs, of differing sizes. Inc three massive ones so had the same issue. The quality is fantastic but be sure before you order as you need to pay to return.

I got one made from a carpet manufacturer, they just cut it to whatever size you want and edge it.

This is my current living room one, which is similar to the image shown, it’s I think 12 by 16. I’ve had three massive ones from there, one deep pile, (very impractical) one Turkish, and now this one. Prices are good, but you need to sift through as there as so many. Also play with different sizes as different ones can fit the room.

Try kukoon rugs. We've just bought some really odd size rugs for us and I think they did made to measure too and they were not extortionate either.

Just go to a carpet shop and get some carpet edged. They normally come on 4 or 5 meter wide rolls.

Thanks all. That's helped me get a lot further in my research. x

They used to be called a carpet (like magic carpet), now they are oversized or area rugs

Heals are good for big rug sizes (they don’t really do small rugs to be honest).
