We've recently painted our living room dulux cornflower white, which is a very light grey. We love it.

We painted the kitchen dulux rock salt, which is an even lighter grey - more of an off white than grey though.

@itsmymess

Do you just ask them in a paint centre to mix it?
Can you buy sample pots?
Also - have you a photo? I have been trying to find the perfect shade for months, about 40 test pots later and they are still too lilac/blue/green/brown.

I’ve used LG french grey pale before, thought it had the palest sage tinge, really liked it and it went well with a nordic pale floor...but this house has sand coloured carpets that I can’t change and is north facing, so I need a slightly warmer greige. TY

Dulux White Mist is whiteish with a grey tinge and a bit 'cold' but looks lovely. polished Pebble is more grey and warmer.

Johnstone’s trade in 0903-R60B. A very very pale cool grey.

Dulux polished pebble. I've just painted DS's room and it and it's light enough but still very warm.

Valspar beluga is a really nice light purpley grey. V similar to F&B great white, but not as much of a faff to paint with.

Blackened or Ammonite from Farrow and Ball is nice.

We had to work with beige carpets in our last home. Deluxe Just Walnut is the perfect grey / greige to bring a modern look without replacing carpets.

My whole house is in Farrow & Ball Ammonite - one of my favourite paint colours - very very pale grey.

@whatisthislifesofullofcare
Yes Brewers made it up for me. RAL are standard colours. Whatever size pots of their base paint so yes I had some very small ones.

This is a useful website

I have a combination of Skimming stone (lighter) and Elephant's breath (darker) by F&B in the whole house. They are 2 different shades of taupe but it is a very neutral one unlike some others that are pink or green or brown tinten. With our lighting they both look like warm gray and I absolutely adore them both. They go with both warm and cold tones so I find them very flexible.

Dulux trade paint in swansdown it’s a lovely really soft grey. We tried dulux polished pebble first but found it too dark and cold.

Dulux eygyptian cotton is a perfect griege
Polished pebble has a blue tinge
White mist is so pale it almost looks white in my daughters room
I recommend getting any colour mixed up in Johnsons acrylic matt-used this in my daughters room and not only does it go on beautifully but you can scrub off marks without damaging the paint.

We've got Egyptian cotton, Polished pebble and Cornflower blue out of the ones that people have mentioned.

The light makes a huge difference with greys. Polished pebble looks light and bright in a room with good light. EC looks distinctly greige in our landing but greyer in the hallway with more natural light.
