If you have a livingroom with dining table in too

So I have a large livingroom and no dining room. The living room is large enough to have a 6 seater table up one end and a seating area in the other. So far so good.
I've just decorated and am re putting up my very large beloved oak mirror and have become stuck. Do I place it over the dining table on that end to zone that area, or place it in the middle of the wall to balance the room itself.
The mirror is way too large to hold it up each way and look, plus it's just me and the kids so no one to hold it. The wallpaper was also too expensive to just put screws in the wall and go for it. Wwyd?

At one end of the room. We have a similar set up to you so have a sideboard and dining table at one end and mirror is above the sideboard, kind of sections the room up I suppose.

Over the dining table I think. We have a similar set up - the long side of table is parallel to short wall in a rectangular room, so mirror is in the middle of the short wall. If that makes sense!
