Mine's a kitchen table. Will post a pic when I can.

I had a wooden industrial style in mind for our new dining room, which we are in process of redecorating - but know I don’t think it will go with our furniture and can’t really afford a new table. Perhaps keeping our table (will add photo) can anyone suggest chairs or rug to add some character and colour. Rest of room is neutral with logs stacked in unused fireplace and white and dark wood topped furniture

I can't because its covered in crap at the moment... It's a Shaker and looks like the one in the picture - nice elegant long legs.

Ours was £80 off gumtree. Chairs needed some tlc. Ignore the crumbs and laundry, please!

I have a glass table, nightmare to keep clean!

PrimeraVez Mon 20-Apr-20 16:04:43

We deliberately went for something a bit rustic-y as we have two young kids and a cat who both like leaving their mark (literally angry ) on things.

We also have this furniture, looks nicer in real life!

This light will go up also

Any ideas much appreciated xx

Primeravez, we were also looking at that style, lovely.

May have to stick with ours for mo, just add chairs. Perhaps some chunkier end ones, as table a little small for room

We made our table and bench and upcycled the chairs

DeanImpala67 Mon 20-Apr-20 16:24:05

Went with a solid oak, white painted to match our skandi-ish decor. Nabbed the table and chairs in a furniture village sale. We are trying to keep things light and airy yet functional if possible.

BigusBumus Mon 20-Apr-20 16:24:38

Ours is made from scaffold boards by a local company.

Blossom4538 Mon 20-Apr-20 17:17:30

Bigusbumus it’s lovely!

Anyone any suggestions of chairs we could buy to go around ours?

@BigusBumus where are you (ish)? That's lovely.

BigusBumus Mon 20-Apr-20 21:40:58

Live near Stamford. The table is made to your own requirements by this company called Chez Soi https://www.chezsoi.co.uk/products/furniture/handmade-tables-benches

@PrimeraVez lovely table and l need something hardy -clumsy partner and 3 cats. Where did you get your rug from?

Mumdiva99 Mon 20-Apr-20 21:56:42

@blossom4538 what's the flooring under your table? I really like it. Is it a rug or tiles?

PrimeraVez Tue 21-Apr-20 03:00:32

@EL8888 thanks! It’s Ikea but about 2 years ago!

tentative3 Wed 22-Apr-20 20:45:21

Thanks @BigusBumus I'll check them out.

kuuskajaskari Thu 23-Apr-20 20:31:07

My table was made from recycled floor joists - it's got an end piece that just slides off which is really useful

BigusBumus Sun 26-Apr-20 19:10:11

Ooh @kuuskajaskari That's lovely. Is your painting an original? Love your branch light thing 😍

kuuskajaskari Sun 26-Apr-20 20:56:51

@BigusBumus the 'painting' is actually Marimekko fabric! The chandelier was made from a lump of driftwood - we've since moved house and I miss it!
