We’ve just bought a holiday home which we are renovating. The living room is dual aspect with the back bay window north facing (With a window seat) and the french doors south facing at the front of the house. The large hedge gives quite a bit of privacy here.

How would you arrange the room? We are thinking about getting some of the Next Stamford range, ideally with a sofa bed. We would like to have seating for at least 6 people. Having had corner sofas before we fancy a change. We are limited where the tv can go due to electrics, so can’t have two sofas facing each other either side of the fireplace without blocking tv viewing.

What about this?

Sofa's in blue, coffee/side tables in green, then a chaise lounges in front of the french doors.

Because it has a low back it won't block the Tv (and would be a nice reading spot with views) but you could move it nearer to the sofas if you had guests (and then presumably wouldn't be watching the TV anyway.

Where is the door ? I would put in a corner sofa and move the tv to the right of the big window .

Start by adding an electric socket, to give you choice.
