So my TV has packed up. Its a 42"..im wondering wether to go up to a 50" it's an extra £69
It would be on a low unit not wall mounted. I just wondered how many of you have a 50 and do you think they are too big/huge step up?
Know this depends on distance from it etc..i can measure.

Size of room?
I have a 43" as I couldn't get the sane spec in a 40"
We don't have a huge lounge and I'd rather it not be dominated by a big tv. It depends on your priorities really.

I have a 43inch. 50 sounds huge to me but depends how far away you're going to be sitting I suppose.

I think if you watch things like movies or sport regularly then bigger is better.
If it's used for Peppa and Bing and BBC news in the morning then smaller. Carol Kirkwood beaming cheerfully at you @6am can be too big.
I don't understand the snobbery around tv size though.

Thanks all.. Yes my gut said stick with what I've got. I'm lucky I've a big lounge but I rent and it may not be the case forever so the sensible option is to stick with the same size. Thanks

Personal decision I think dependent on room size.

Get 50". No contest. You will regret a smaller one. 43" is small.
