Hi. I need storage. Desperately. My son’s room has a space which is full of crap and toys. I’ve looked online. Dh is handy but knackered so I’m thinking of getting it done. There is a man who puts together IKEA furniture, or whatever brand you get. I’ve looked at sharps but you have to have someone come to do a consultation and looks quite expensive from reviews.
The measurement is 130cm wide, 100cm deep and 235cm high. I like Ikea hemnes style.
Any help gratefully received! Smile

Go with Ikea! It’s ok to put it together yourself if you allow plenty of time ( honestly it takes hours... have to work around child care ) but can get good results at a good price

Has anyone used Sharps?

We used Sharps. Finished product was amazing but the whole process is quite slow and our joiner was just on another planet. Turned up late every day with ridiculous excuses and then would leave early. Very expensive, but the finished product and design service couldn't be faulted. We've since moved and are getting fitted wardrobes again but are going to try a local joiner instead purely because Sharps were SO expensive.

Sharps is crazy expensive. If I remember correctly we were quoted £4K for two wardrobes.

I would go on checkatrade and look at local joiners who do this sort of thing. Invite a few round to give you a quote. Even if you decide to go for Ikea after then it will help you get a better idea of what you want.

Go local, either get a local carpenter to do you a fitted wardrobe, or get a local handyman to put together some Ikea stuff for you.
