Blinds2Go or John Lewis?

We are looking for made to measure Roman blinds and can't decide where to get them from. We have samples from JL and saw the fabrics in store and they look great. But Blinds2Go seems so much cheaper and still has some good reviews.

Does anyone have recommendations one way or the other?

Used BlindsDirect and they were brilliant. Quality was excellent although I upgraded the fittings etc as an option. Really helpful if you need advice as well

Blinds2go are excellent. We have roller blinds and Roman blinds from them. The’ve been up over two year, no problem at all and the quality is great. Recommended them to my extremely particular friend and she’s really pleased with hers too. We also have curtains from their sister company curtains2go and would recommend them. I’m just annoyed they don’t do full length blinds yet - needed some for our bi-fold doors and so got them from somewhere else and they are absolutely crap. Keep fraying, break all the time, so if anyone from Blinds2go read this, PLEASE start making full length blinds! Grin

I've used Blinds2Go, they were ace, one our the Roman blinds pull mechanism jammed, called them and they sorted it out immediately, no messing, sent us a new mechanism the next day. Their Customer Service has been really good, we would use them again for sure..

I was so nervous about ordering our blinds- we went with blinds2go and they were excellent- explained on the site how to measure, they came quickly, easy to fit and fit perfectly (I was convinced I’d get the measuring wrong!). Seem good quality but we aren’t putting them up and down often (we have venetian in the space we needed them).

Really impressed by how easy it was after I’d put it off for so long.

Another Blinds2Go fan here! We had lovely roller blinds and roman blinds from JL in our last house, however for a fraction of the cost and much speedier deliver we are delighted with our 7 roller blinds and 3 roman blinds that we have had for 4 years now in our new house. The quality really is great.

We have Roman blinds from blinds2go on a bay window. They fit perfectly and look great and good quality. Only negative is you have to pull the cord many times to roll the blinds up or down. Our previous (expensive) blinds didn't require quite so much pulling somehow.

I should be happy about all the good reviews but now I’m dreading ordering more samples. I spent so much time picking out and ordering samples from JL and thought we were close to ordering. The idea of having to sort through hundreds of greys again is so daunting!

@MarieG10 I had a look and they do look nice, but I think their ordering time is a bit longer than we can manage. Thanks though!

I used orderblinds.co.uk for my blackout roller blinds. They're great quality at a low price and the customer service was brilliant. They suggested I send a photo in of my awkward window and advised how to order the correct blind to fit it,

Are Blinds2go good for venetian blinds too?

Do not use John Lewis for blinds - had the worst customer service ever when I ordered curtains and blinds from them for my new house. Took nearly a year for them to complete the order and they made multiple mistakes

Do blinds2go fit them? Or do you get someone in to fit?

For black out roller blinds, do they actually block out all the light?

Used blinds2go here for both venetian and roller binds - love them. No problems at all.

We had two blinds from Blinds2Go. One wasn't finished properly (they did send a replacement) the other has a much bigger gap round the edge than suggested in the picture and the 'silver' has completely gone from the pull cord in under two years.
They may have improved but I am reluctant to find out.

Roller blinds block out all light coming THROUGH them, but there will be light coming round the edges.
Depends if it is fitted inside or outside the recess.

Bloc blinds DO cut out all the light as they have a channel round the edge that the blinds run in.

Another blinds2go fan here.
When we moved in 4 years ago I made two blinds myself with expensive fabric. Both of them are completely bust. However my three blinds to go ones are still going strong!

do Blinds2Go make a cassette roller blind that is fully blackout (similar to a Velux blind or BlocOut brand from JL)?
