Thought maybe a lantern but it's a bit boring any other ideas?
Not keeping the walls green going to paint them white.

Which room is it in? Would a wine rack be appropriate?

Dfg15 Thu 28-Feb-19 09:03:06

Those nice fake flickery candles and some flowers?

Are you a book lover? A tiny library? grin I totally would!

Storage for a nest of tables?

Or, if you want decoration rather than function... what about a globe? You can get black ones with the details and text in gold and all sorts of colour schemes to go with your room!

If it doesn't need to useful (drawers/shelves) then how about a long thin picture? Or a large plant? Maybe a cacti / palm?

Mmmhmmokdear Thu 28-Feb-19 09:21:36

Fake flowers. Maybe in a jug. Like this www.dunelm.com/product/cream-roses-in-ceramic-jug-1000138663

I didn't open your picture, didn't realise it was a fireplace! Ignore last post, what about filling it with nice logs stacked up? Or you could put a few framed prints in there leaning off the floor? Maybe one large one and 2 small?

TheLastUNIC0RN Thu 28-Feb-19 09:23:03

Is there an open fire in the room.. a stack of logs?

TheLastUNIC0RN Thu 28-Feb-19 09:24:24

Oh just read pp... it is a fireplace. I think logs or candles then

Lardlizard Thu 28-Feb-19 09:25:13

Make it look like a fire with a grate type thing and a collection go flickery candles

PartyHatOnADog Thu 28-Feb-19 09:27:56

Succulents!!

itsoktowantmore Thu 28-Feb-19 09:30:31

Put a dog in there.

flissfloss65 Thu 28-Feb-19 09:48:19

An iron grate full of logs with fairy lights entertwined in logs.

You could also put large candles in lanterns on the front tiles. Look lovely and cosy at night.

Either of these:

JaneJeffer Excellent idea!

I like the idea of logs to create a fake fireplace
Or a mini library - love that!

Nesssie Thu 28-Feb-19 10:54:52

Scrap that, logs with fairy lights is so pretty!

TeaforTwoBiscuitOrThree Thu 28-Feb-19 11:01:06

Electric fire (the one with fake flames)?

Letthemysterybe Fri 01-Mar-19 22:15:27

One of those star shaped lights

Noeuf Fri 01-Mar-19 22:27:14

A little fluffy cat in a cat bed with a few little catnip toys scattered artfully

Bloodybridget Sat 02-Mar-19 11:41:56

A big glass vase or bowl with fairy lights coiled in it. Or a ceramic sculpture.
