Console tables

If you have a console table how tall is it?

The ones I'm currently looking at seem very small (75cm) and I think it would look a bit lost against the wall I want to put it on however this is the same height as a standard dining table so I'm a bit confused it doesn't take much

You could buy a decorative shelf at put it at whatever height you want.

I had one made to fit over the radiator in my hall as all the standard ones sat in front of it (if you see what I mean). I agree with the PP and get an oak floating shelf to act as a console table perhaps.
