Ikea flat pack builder who will build in...

I want some wardrobes and sitting room cupboards fitted but cheaply as I’m only in the flat for a year or so. I’ve been looking online and there are some amazing Ikea “hacks”, that is Ikea furniture built in, that looks amazing but I’m not handy at all, I need a builder.

Ideally I’d want someone who could measure, advise, assemble and build in. Where would I find such a person (I’m in zone 1 London)?

I can see plenty of Ikea put togetherers but not one that will build in to make the units look more fitted...

Thanks in advance for any help.

I reckon you need a joiner.

There's an app called Airtasker, where people post their odd jobs/DIY tasks. You do tend to get professionals on there offering their services and lots of them have legitimate reviews!

I've only ever used word of mouth recommendations.

You need more than the assemblers but not a chipendale carpenter so get a few prices.

That's really not worth it for a year's rental. It won't be cheap. Just get a rail. A year's gone in a blink.

Why have the furniture built in? Surely it's better to have it free standing so you can take it with you?

PickAChew because I need every bit of available space. As I’ve got very high ceilings there are no wardrobes tall enough but I’ve seen (on the internet) cupboards built on top of some Ikea wardrobes/sitting room storage. They looked amazing and added about a third more space (really high ceilings!)

Won’t be taking them with me as I’ll be buying a completely different property.

custardy

Yes that’s the sort of thing but I can’t do it so I need a joiner. Plus would even know what to buy, so hopefully I can find someone who has done it before!

Thanks for the suggestions of where to find a joiner. It’s difficult here in the city, everything so expensive.
