Painting furniture

Hello,

I'm wanting to sand down some pine furniture and paint it a nice pale grey

Any recommendations for which paint to use? Not a gloss as not a lover of the look, but don't mind satin finish. Will be in a nursery.

Thanks

Have a look at the Rustoleum chalk paints on the B&Q website, see if you like the colour of any.

Don't bother sanding. Just wipe it cleam
Rustoleum chalky paint.
It can get gloopy so I decant a couple of cupfuls into a plastic tray, and water it down a little.
Couple of coats,, dries in no time.
I use Annie Sloan soft wax on top. The rustoleum wax is a bit too hard and doesn't spread nicely

Winter Grey is nice but I'd say its mid not pale grey

Rustoleum but you will need the wax as well to finish it off but remember does make the colour go slightly darker after you apply wax
They sell here or I think b&q https://amzn.to/2MnqlnV

I'm not keen on chalk paint. I'd sand lightly, clean off with white spirit on a rag, prime with Zinsser primer then do two coats of satinwood paint or Rustoleum furniture paint which is a satin finish. I've been impressed by how hard wearing it is.
