Crumbling walls, which blinds?

Need help, have a big floor to almost ceiling window but the walls above are awful and the curtain rail fittings crumble out every time despite using correct wall fittings . I'm looking at blinds now and would like blinds that fit into the window avoiding the wall altogether, which blinds should I be going for ? Thanks !

Hello. Have been looking at these too for some French doors and there seems to be quite a few like this e.g Hillary’s “perfect fit” blinds and blinds to go “click fit” blinds.....

In my experience you then just get the wall/window recess crumbling and the blinds falling down with a terrifying bang in the middle of the night. Instead of fixing directly into wall use a wooden batton that can be fixed in multiple places on to the wall with those umbrella style rawl plugs paint it to match walls and fix curtain rail as normal.

We’ve just bought a house and had the exact same problem, due to a concrete lintel above the window.
We got a heavy duty drill and attached a wooden plank to the wall with mid sized plugs and good sized screws.
We had to go quite deeply into the concrete to get the screws to fix in properly.
