I have a really wide window and looking to get curtains fitted.
I really want the curtains to cover a minimal amount of the window when open at the side.
If window is 5.4m, so 2.7m per curtain, how much do you think the curtain could measure, and what type of curtains would bunch up the least?
I'm thinking pinch pleat would be the widest, maybe just normal pencil pleat would be ok?

Eyelet would probably bunch up the least. Can you put the curtain pole wider than the window so when the curtains are open you don’t need to cover up any of the window?

I needed curtains to not block out too much light when open too , I've found that eyelet ones are the best because you can have them made using the minimum amount of material needed to cover the window when drawn ( mine only sort of ripple when closed ) and so , when open there's not masses of material to bunch up.
