Our living room is approximately 5m by 3.5m. At the moment we have a large sofa in place A and a smaller one in place B which makes the room look very long and narrow and is also very antisocial as the sofas are not facing one another.
I would like to make more of a feature of the bay window, perhaps with a small sofa or two chairs, and then another sofa directly opposite, at the other end of the room. I think this would square off the room a bit. However the door in the middle of the longer wall and the single tv aerial point are proving to be restrictive.
Can anyone take a fresh look and suggest any options? Many thanks in advance.
Ooh and I love corner sofas by can't see a way of working one in anywhere.

It looks good to me. I would put a sofa in front of the bay and then a table/ottoman with tray in front of the fire and then another sofa opposite. Or substitute one sofa for two chairs.all on top of a rug.
The tv I would put in the space adjacent to the fireplace.
Creating a good social space around the fireplace/coffee table but still can see the tv.
The room is a good size so you should still have circulating space and perhaps room for a console/lamps in the bay?

Put a sofa infront (not directly) of the double doors facing the rest o the room.

I would put an armchair in the bay and move sofa B away from the wall so it's perpendicular to where it is now. Its back will face the double doors and you'll miss the view of the garden (presumably) but it'll make the room feel a lot more social, intimate and cosy. A sideboard/table with a nice lamp in that alcove to the right of the chimney will finish it nicely 👌🏻

Or put the smaller sofa in the bay and an armchair near the double doors (where I said sofa B could go up there.

Where do the double doors go? do you use them often?

My parents had similar room but opposite. They had sofa next to double doors and at point A. They were same size.

Thank you for the ideas, much appreciated.

The double doors lead to a dining room, which is used as a playroom atm as we have a decent sized table in the kitchen.
They get used a fair bit but might not as the dcs get older.
