RUSTIC limestone... Or tumbled porcelain (limestone lookalikes)?

I want ivory /grey (not yellow) rustic limestone (tumbled edges at the very least!) for our kitchen/diner. We currently have a smooth, honed limestone floor and are well versed in the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of sealing!
Stains will happen (2 kids) and we want to choose the best finish to conceal them - as in terms of "blending" them in. So a more rustic finish probably suits better - I guess that's what I'm asking..!
The limestone effect tumbled porcelains are getting better but still aren’t quite there....

ceramic
lime stone will shred your mop and can be more difficult, i,e. expensive, to lay.

We have real limestone in our kitchen and it's fantastic. Sealed once after laying and once since. Been down three years. Four kids, small holding, big dogs, six cats. No stains or mess. Got ours from Mrs Stone Store. It's the grey tumbled / farmhouse one from memory. Would get it again in the next house ( but not moving)

Thank you so much RubberJohnny!!! V helpful. Mrs Stone Store looks very good..although I'm struggling to find either of those stones in the website! it's just so hard to pick without seeing a particular stone them laid somewhere...

Checked now and they are the 'heritage grey flagstones' . They look good on the site but better in real life. I Ill post a pic of ours tomorrow.

Also, ours is smooth. Textured and aged but shiny and smooth. Not a mop shredder at all!

That would be fantastic RubberJohnny, thank you! How have you found the grout? Tricky to keep clean I imagine. We plan on sealing it, but still I think it'll still be a bit of a job to keep it bright..

When you say stains will happen, can you give more detail - how bad! Any pics?
