Help me make my bathroom look nice

Following on from my thread asking for ideas to make my bedroom cosy, which received some great ideas.

I'm really happy with the bedroom now with fairy lights, tea lights, canvasses on the walks, a nice lightshade.

Now I'm moving on to my bathroom which is tiny and again i can't paint as it's rented.

Its square, white walls, dark grey tiled floor, white suite, corner shower cubicle, small window. I can't change the light. Budget is very tight. I need some sort of storage for bottles, makeup etc. And something to brighten up the walls.

I've looked on pinterest but everything I like is painted blue/turquoise or looks expensive.

I love colour but not sure how to create a bright room that I can put back to how it was when I move out.

My first thought is a mirror, you could get a cheap one, paint the frame to suit any colour scheme you like. Storage - I bought a cheap under-sink cupboard, you can also get nice drawer units for next to nothing. A bright bath mat for the floor to finish.

Oh, I'm not sure transfers would stay put in a steamy bathroom. If you can paint the walls (knowing a tin of white paint is cheap when you're moving out, and it's easy to repaint a bathroom), I would just do that!

I'd rather not paint, but would frame posters or similar. I can't find anything suitable though. Needs to be nice and big.

I have a white framed mirror. The towels are grey.

At the moment there's 2 small prints on the wall but they make no impact .. just look put up because there's nothing else ...

Anything on paper will suffer. What about buying a big, cheap canvas and three tubes of acrylic paint (think shades of blue plus white)? Water the paint down a touch, then pour on the canvas.

I wouldn't know where to start! I'm not at all artistic. Not keen on modern art either.

What size is the room? My bathroom is tiny so just a coloured hand towel & bath mat makes a huge difference to the look of the room.

It's quite small and the walls are all painted white. I don't have a bath mat down unless I'm taking a shower. The towels hang on the back of the door as the heated towel rail is the only heater in the room.

How about a collection of mirrors. You could pick up lots of different shaped cheap ones from charity shops and paint them slightly different shades of grey with sample pots

Also Paint your shelf grey

Use nice jars or baskets on the shelf rather than just a line of shampoo bottles

The shelves are packed full of bottles and tubes! I think I need a sort out!

Not sure I could face lots of mirrors. I avoid them most of the time.

It sounds very like my bathroom. I have a narrow alcove where I have three shelves. I put beach hut photo frames propped up and other bits and bobs connected to the sea. I also have tall bottles of bubble bath. Next to the loo and under the shelves I can just squeeze a pine laundry box in. I put all the spares in there. So I just have out what I am using and some for decoration. On top of it I have a white basket with other toiletries and rolled hand towels up one end for guests. I have three colours of towels to match tile colour and a painted shade from Sainsbury's. Try putting more than one colour of towel in. I have a wall I can't make my mind up about. It is narrow and has a radiator on it. It is bland so I know what you mean.

I recently renovated my bathroom and I wanted to know will that be enough to boost the value of my home. I changed tiles, add new cabinets and sink and new shower doors. Also, I bought a bidet from Australian bidet shop and I hope that will be a plus.
