Suggestions please, for a bold but warm paint colour to go with this fabric. clarke-clarke.com/product/herbarium-blushnatural/

Any range is fine, I’d probably get it colour matched by Dulux.

It’s going in my spare room (currently looking very unloved and overdue a revamp), probably as an accent colour on one wall rather than the full room. The fabric will be used for curtains at the French doors and a bedspread, so there will be a lot of it in the room.

I would go with the very pale pink of the flower at the very bottom ...reminds me of an f and b shade but can't remember which

I thought the pale pink flower too. A pale lilac might work if you like lilac. I don't. I don't like grey either.
I'd keep it neutral. Fabric is nice.

An inky blue like in the darkest bits of the central flower?

I like that fabric. You will get a lot of mileage out if it. Lots of complementing colours.

A darker dusky pink would go lovely or a plum colour. It would make the fabric stand out

Dodie are you Welsh? I would use the same turn of phrase 'go lovely' Smile

Try dusted fondant by dulux. It's a lovely dusky pink similar to the bottom flower

Ooh, now - some very interesting ideas here! I had automatically thought of a bold green, something like F&B Churlish Green, or Lichen, so I am glad I asked, as there are definitely some suggestions I hadn't considered.

I love plum, but we already have quite a lot of plum elsewhere in the house so I'd prefer to avoid it. I also love dark, rich blues (we're about to paint our study in Dulux Sapphire Salute), but I think it's probably too dark for the spare room.

I initially thought that pink my look too sugary, but actually I really like F&B Pink Ground, that might work really well, as it has a lot of yellow in it. And while, like Mike, I'm not usually a lilac fan, Dusted Fondant has a lot of grey in it, so might work.

Time to get ordering some samples - thanks, everyone!
