Curtains - Question of width

If my pole length is 300cm what is the optimum width that I should buy in eyelet curtains. The curtains I've seem are fairly heavy weight and hang beautifully, the largest width is 225cm so I wondering if I should buy 2 pairs and have then joined, or if that would be too much material??

I'd get one pair of 225 and a pair 112. Just hang them up nobody will notice that it's 2 curtains on each side.

Curtains much wider than 225 are a pain to handle, iron, fold, wash, hang etc.

Curtain widths are normally stated on packaging as per curtain not per pair. Is the 225 for the total pair width?

225 cm is what we’re the old 90 x 90 inch curtains sold for patio doors and the like. Each pack will contain 2 curtains of just under 90 inches each of in total you will have 180 inches or 450 cm of material to fit across the window. You will only need one pair if the pole is 300cm.

I would be tempted to just go with the 225cm...yes when your using curtains with tape you tend to go up to double width ie a pair of curtains both 300cm wide.

With rings it doesn't matter as much and looks better to have less than double width
