Can't choose a colour

We have a huge living room dinner that I want to paint in one colour.
My original plan was to paint it Manhattan grey but dh insisting we paint it something else so it's not boring. Our furnishing are very plain black and charcoal and the room is big enough to handle a colour I just can't decide what colour to do. We aren't scared of colour we actually love the bright wacky colours. It was previously fully painted post box red. I have had suggestions of red again of dh. Blue of ds1, orange of ds2 and pink of ds 3. What would you all suggest?
The only colour that is a no go is green dh hates green.

I'd go with neutral walls and keep the vivid colours to cushions, rugs, pictures etc. That also gives you the option to change decorations seasonally.

I love bright colours but do tend to find that I got off bright walls over time as they're just a bit much. So I had a bright yellow in the garden room and started hating it a year later. Our bedroom has been turquoise for 2 years but I have had enough and I'm already making plans to redecorate (in Jan hopefully).

We have a dusky lavender on our large wall. It's warm and a mid-tone, so not pastel, but also not too dark or oppressive. It doesn't overpower the rest of the space and goes so nicely with lots of colours that we haven't yet managed to decide what curtains to go with it.
