Kitchen advice sought!

Hiya. I'm (finally) in the market for a new kitchen and utility room. Our budget is around £20k for all the cabinets (excluding stone and fridge/ovens etc), which I thought sounded like a nice, healthy number but we do want a large island and a run of units + pantry etc. I'm discovering that it isn't! I'm trying to work out which option to go for. We've had a quote from Higham, which came in as pretty pricey and from Handmade kitchens direct, which was very cheap! However, we've visited HKD and feel that their cabinets felt a bit flimsy. I'm trying to work out which offers the best quality given that this is for the long term and I've found www.simonbenjamin.co.uk/ which look lovely. Has anyone used them? Do you have any advice on their quality, on their ball park pricing and how they compare? Any advice or recommendations gratefully received. We like simple shaker styling. Thank you!

Hello
Have you come across 1909 yet? We’re having a run of units (inc pantry) and a large L-shaped island. The units themselves are solid wood and we’ve upgraded to the dovetail joints in all the drawers. I think our units cost in the region of £16K by the time we negotiated a healthy discount from a local supplier.

Hi Tatlerer. Thank you. They look lovely. I will go and view them. The price point is much more where we were hoping to come out.

We've recently ordered a Devol kitchen, if you're after a shaker style then it's definitely worth checking them out.
